Kathryn Hartrick is a passionate and insightful Executive Coach.  She meets clients where they are at, helps them envision more for themselves, and champions their successes.  She equips clients to tap into what makes an individual and team uniquely qualified and to thrive in their leadership effectiveness.  Each of us is a combination of our individual background, family, friends, education, work, passions, goals, interests, experiences, and activities.  Kathryn partners with clients in maximizing the achievement of professional and personal contributions.  Her coaching frequently enhances communication skills, behavioral IQ, executive presence, purpose, and values, and increases individual and team agility in working with others.  She uses coaching sessions, interpersonal assessment tools, and confidential colleague feedback to strengthen self-awareness.  She specializes in working with executives and high potential leaders as well as those in transition and onboarding into new roles, including New Leader Assimilation.

Business Background

Kathryn combines her coaching with over 25 years of first-hand knowledge of business needs and employee-employer relationships.  Kathryn has held positions including:  law firm partner, senior corporate counsel, and HR with global publicly traded corporations including Career Education Corporation, Wolters Kluwer, and Essendant (formerly United Stationers).  She works with multi-functional C-Suite and senior leaders and their teams.  In addition to coaching, Kathryn serves as General Counsel internally to R|L.  

She is a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF), Association of Workplace Investigators (AWI), Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), Northern Illinois Society of Human Resource Management (NISHRM – Board Member), and North Shore Labor & Employment Counsel (NSLC – Chair).
