As an Executive Coach, Bert Allen brings a unique combination of corporate human resources, operations, and entrepreneurial experience from his 30-year career. He has been a coach and trusted advisor to CEO’s and their leadership teams. He has created and led employee productivity, succession planning, global leadership development, executive compensation, M&A and turnaround initiatives for Fortune 100 and Private Equity-sponsored mid-cap companies. Bert has a demonstrated passion for coaching clients to drive business results by maximizing individual and team performance and effectiveness. In a forward-looking manner, Bert gains the trust of his clients for their immediate and long-term success. Bert engages clients by asking penetrating questions to unlock more of their potential. They gain broader perspectives and insights and develop solutions for success through his interactive approach.
Business Background
Bert has served as the Chief Human Resources Officer for Private Equity-backed companies: Floworks International, a leading specialty supplier to the energy and industrial sectors; JMC Steel Group, a leading North American manufacturer; and InteliStaf Healthcare, a national staffing firm. Earlier in his career, he served in senior human resources and operations executive capacities at Fortune 100 companies: Express Scripts; Exelon Enterprises; and ACNielsen.
Bert has been responsible for the development and execution of strategic Human Capital initiatives including, organization effectiveness, talent acquisition and management, total rewards, labor relations, internal communications, and leadership development. He has also served as the executive representative to the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors. Bert is a member of the Human Resources Management Association of Chicago, HRMAC. He currently serves on the board of the Musical Arts Institute and the HR Committee for the Board of UCAN.
