Matt. P. Gonring

Matt Gonring has been an executive officer and coach leading marketing and communications for large, global corporations over the past 25 years.  He has built and led marketing and corporate communications teams in manufacturing, consumer goods, professional/financial services, healthcare, and airlines.  Matt most recently served as VP Corporate Communications with Jackson, a $25 billion leader in financial services and underwriter of variable annuities.  Prior to that he served as VP and Chief Communications Officer for Pactiv Corporation, a leader in the consumer and foodservice packaging markets. Earlier in his career he served as VP for USG Corp., Baxter, and Rockwell and was a Managing Partner for Arthur Andersen.  Matt has successfully helped shepherd organizations through a myriad of changes from M&A's to restructuring/reorganization.  He is noted for effectively advising C-Suite executives and executing multi-stakeholder communications strategies that help further the business agenda.  In these various capacities, Matt coached executives to operate more effectively and achieve accelerated results. He is a frequent speaker and writer and serves on the graduate faculty of George Washington University and previously Northwestern University.  Matt holds a Master’s degree from the School of Business, American University in Washington, DC, and a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin/Stevens Point.  He has served on seven not-for-profit boards and currently serves on The Institute for Public Relations and the Arthur W. Page Society Boards.
