David L. Filkin
Vice President

David Filkin practiced law for 20 years and has coached for an additional 10 years.  As a mergers/acquisitions and corporate specialist for a mid-size Chicago law firm, David learned firsthand the power of a proper mindset, especially during trying situations.  Then as General Counsel for a multi-billion family-owned company, he developed a keen self-awareness and shift in his personal mission.  His practice primarily involved privately held businesses with most of his interaction at the board and C-suite levels.  He has also served on the Board of Directors of several middle-market and early-stage businesses, giving him additional insights into strategy, value creation, and ethics.  Ultimately, David became a trusted advisor and applies this experience and insights in each coaching engagement.  By unlocking their vision, authenticity, and values, David encourages his clients to set and achieve personal and professional goals.  His clients gain a clear understanding of their goals and a timetable towards progress.  Through self-discovery, David guides his clients from concepts into action in order to achieve true growth.  Putting passion into performance in order to achieve desired results is one of the mainstays of David’s coaching practice.  David earned his undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Illinois, Champaign, IL and a JD from the University of Illinois College of Law.
